I still feel King Kold and Freeza's interaction are the best parts so far. Its interesting to see his cold, dispassionate attempts to mold and test Freeza as well as Chibi Freeza's equal determination to live up to his father's expectations. But the story never seems to treat this as the focus. Instead we seem to keep going back to Freeza's mom.
And, maybe its me, but for a DB story, this comic seems oddly averse to actual fighting. Freeza's and Kold's fight last chapter could have been more involved. This chapter's fight between Freeza and the bug creatures seemed rather more restrained than it could have been. With us only really seeing a highlight of what could have been an epic slog against implacable foes. Through Freeza pulling...well a Freeza was nice.
